It depends on the artwork. For example, the pencil drawing was without prompting. He drew that then the teacher told them to make a story book about their character. The nine square one, first kids drew random shapes then the teacher told them turn them into things they saw in the shapes. The swan and the angels were teaching technique so they saw sample work then produced their own. His old teacher was much better at getting kids to use their imaginations, that is why Kyle lost interest in the end I think. There is an Australian teacher art near our cottage and I am planning to try his classes in September, as he lets kids create their own pieces but still teaches technique.
Neil wants to know is Kyle prompted to arrange the composistions this way pr does he just do on his own accord?
